Hi, I’m Theresa

 

I’m a Charity CEO, a dog lover, dry-land sled dog Musher, wild swimmer and sloth-like runner.  I am mildly obsessed with dogs, swimming and Parkrun, and I am hugely obsessed with working with talented individuals and organisations to help you become the best version of yourself.

How did I get here?

 

I’ve had an incredibly fulfilling career working with some amazing, yet understated, organisations who deliver some of the most valuable services in our society.  I started my career in a large FE college, moving into development programmes working with SMEs and individuals to access learning opportunities through publicly funded projects.  This gave me my passion for learning and I had my first Eureka! moment, discovering how I learn [see Blog ‘My Journey:  Learning to Learn].  This is where my journey truly started, following a professional pathway with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) that eventually led, a few years later, to gaining a Masters in Managing Innovation and Change at Oxford Brookes University.

 

Along the way to my Masters, I became a trainer, an assessor, a Talent Development Manager, an Organisational Development specialist and a coach.  I developed programmes for learning and organisational development across the voluntary, private, public and community sector.  I have worked in mental health, housing, brain injury, and most recently back in mental health as the CEO for an amazing young persons charity, Visyon.
